Best Location For Exhaust Cutout
I searched exhaust cutouts and did not find results that answered my question.
I have a stock 2000 Z28 and want to add a cutout (read I should do this as my first mod in LS1 Newbie Tech), but am wondering where I should add it. I plan to upgrade to a full exhaust in the future, so should I spend the money to put it before the stock cat back, or should I buy a catback and add it to the new exhaust?

get rid of the stock cats. i would save up for headers, ory, and a good catback. a cutout with stock exhaust will sound pretty crappy. after you get your exhaust installed i would put the cutout in right behind passenger seat floorpan before the over axle section. you can adjust/rotate it to tuck pretty nicely. sorry dont have pics of my old setup.
