Cool Pulling car to track with trailer (700r4)

Ok, I know this isn't a LS truck, so don't bash me....

I have got a 88' GMC Sierra with a 350 TBI and a 700r4. I have the trans sitting on my workbench waiting for a rebuild. My question is I want to tow my car to the track (80 mile round trip) and still have my trans hold up. What are the most important parts to replace in a rebuild when pulling alot of weight? Is there a (HEAVY DUTY TOWING) rebuild kit or something?

Thank you

Get good clutches, and a good cooler setup, and dont tow in OD and you should be fine. When I moved from Ohio, back home to Texas, I Pulled everything We owned on a 20ft. trailer, and all my tools, engine hoist, and a pontiac 462 engine in the back of my truck, We were loaded up, looked like Sanford & Son. I had a 89 sierra with that same 5.7 TB engine and a 700trans, only my truck was a 4wd. Truck pulled like a freight train, no issues, drove the truck a while before selling it to get a newer truck, never had any issues.
