Default 98 ls1 swap into 2001 camaro?

I'm looking at swapping a 98 ls1 into a 2001 camaro. Is there anything I should know? Will the motor wire up to the 01 wire harness and pcm?

I know the pcms are different, but will the 98 engine wire up to the 01 harness? The pcm will stay an 01.

You should be fine... off the top of my head, I do know you'll need to use a different coolant temp sensor since the 98 has an extra signal wire that controls the gauge, but other than that... the 01 harness should plug into the 98 sensors just fine. Good luck.
