Default Hello, new guy here, few questions.....

Hey everyone, I am new to the website and have a few questions. I currently don't have an LS engine or car and don't know much about them but I have a project in mind and need some help on getting the engine aspect of it started.

I am looking for a 1986 to 1988 Monte Carlo SS and my plan is to drop an LS motor into it. But I want to do a 402-ci LS engine, and not sure how to get that CID from it. I want to build a 402 just cause my dad had a 1970 SS Chevelle with a 402, and I just really like the the sound of it....402

I want to make 450 to 550 NA horsepower, and I want it to streetable and reliable, I also dont plan on using any nitrous on it.

I know the 402 big block had a bore of 4.125 and a stroke of 3.76, is there a way to get that from some LS combinations?

I would like to use an aluminum block, but what are peoples recomendations?

I would also like to use a 4L80 in the car, and was wondering about kits to install the LS engine into the mid 80"s G-body.

Thanks ahead of time for any help, this is a great website.

Acouple things I forgot, what would be the best heads, cam and induction set up? I know these engines can run FI or carburators, which one would be easiests to install?

My budget for the engine and transmission is $10,000.

Thanks again for any help.
