Default 01 LS1 head questions

Is it possible to remove the drivers side head off a 01 camaro with the motor still in the car?

or would it be way easier to just drop the motor? i only ask because I will be doing this in my garage?

any and all help would be awesome

You can do heads/cam swaps with the motor still in the car. Just a little less elbow room but most people do it that way.

Thanks that takes a little less stress off me. I know the head work will need to be done by a machine shop. But what all will i need to buy other than head gasket, head bolts, and misc fuilds?

is there anywhere I can get just one gasket and one head bolt set?

That should really cover it. It depends which gasket you are looking at. GM sells the graphite gaskets separately while they sell the metal gaskets as a pair. We carry the headbolts by head, not as a pair. $25 per side on both gaskets and bolts.
