Default Daily use transmission for 850rwhp+ ??

Hello

I own an 2000 Firebird TA
The engine is an H/C 427 with a lots of Nitrous spray which will make 850+rwhp

My A4 Transmission wont hold that power.

Any suggestions? how about the FLT stage 5 extreme transmission can that help ?

Thank you.

I put a RPM 4l80E in mine. 402ci with d1sc procharger making close to 800 hp and 800 tq, works like a champ. Race Proven Motorsports in DE put it in, had a 6spd.

Built RPM or FLT 4L80E. Ditch the 4l60e built or not. Believe me I know. You can do a built th400 and sacrifice not having OD or the 4l80e which does have OD but is pricey, but worth it for your power level. Good luck

4L80E, unless you dont do any freeway driving, then Turbo 400.

Like said the 60e even built will be borrowed time. Maybe fine on motor but as soon as you hit the juice, it's going to go. 4L80e properly built with a good nitrous spec converter would be fine.

Consider a TCI 6x....
I'm Making 525 to the wheels now and making mid 10 second passes....and getting ready to spray a 500 shot....
it wont be a problem for the TCI 6x... Just be sure upgrade to the billet input shaft and clutch hub

Art Carr has the 200-4R handling over 1,000 horsepower... I'd bet it's a heap lighter than a 4l80. Check their prices. $1500 for an 800 horsepower unit. The transmissions are full hydraulic if I remember, so no pcm is needed to run them. Could be a perk.

Do you know of any Art Carr units that have several hundred passes on them and LIVED.... I don't. Go with the 4L80E from Jakeshoe or RPM Transmissions and stay away from the advertising nonsense.

Our Level 5 4L80e transmission would be a great fit for what you are shooting for. They are good for 1000rwhp. It is quite a bit cheaper than a 4L60e capable of handling similar horsepower. Let me know if you have any questions. Id be happy to answer them.
