what do i deck the block to or just have it cleaned up?
going to be building a 355 soon
6 in scat rods
+/-5 mahle power pack pistons
stock crank
with Le2 heads i think they are 58cc after porting
i think i want some where around 11:1 Cr
Im wanting a good quench do i need to deck the block or just have it cleaned up?
what setup gasket wise would put me in that range?
any help would be great I kind of want to know what i want before hand

Depends on a shitload of other factors...head's material, chamber shape and size, quench, DA, temperature, etc.
Internet experts will tell you 9.0 DCR max, and that anything over that will need race gas, but if you are still only 11:1 static you will be fine on 93 no matter what a calculator says.
DCR is really more of a recent fascination then a tested fact.
**edit** As for the original question, it depends on what you are going to use the car for. If staying NA, you want between .035 and .040 quench for a street car.
You won't need a full 9.00" zero deck, and it would probably be easiest to just have it cleaned up, measure how far your pistons are in the hole with a dial indicator once its assembled, and then pick a head gasket that gets you your proper quench. You are not close enough to the edge of anything to worry about calculating everything, but I can tell you how anyway if you want.

exactly!!!!!!!!!!! finally!!!!!!!! lol................
and hey OP as for your quench distance dont go under .030..........the thinnest gasket you can get is the .026 and your stock piston down bore is around .025 ish............so i fyou want to get that quench down and the compression up have that thing decked...........i run .004 deck with a .026 gasket.........i wouldn't reccomend going that close though
