Howdy all from Az. http://www.small-block-chevy.com/images/smiles/lostinAZ.gif
Have built and raced the generation II small blocks since the 70's, and just jumped feet first into a pretty nice 5seater sand rail with a stroked LS-? I'm not even sure what to call it,, aluminum bock, 853 heads, appears to be a 5.3 truck intake a fuel rails,, sort of a mixed up / pieced together motor. Have not had it apart yet but found a handfull of receipts from which just happens to be my machinist in Tucson. They verified it is a fresh 383 ( Eagle 4" stroke crank, and Eagle rods, and SRP pistons which is 'supposed' to be a 11.5:1 motor) It's fresh that has been sitting for a couple of years going through a nasty divorce.
I guess my FIRST question shoud be,, is there a section here on LS1Tech for LSx Sandrails. I looked and didn't see anything specific to the sand cars. It's becoming a pretty popular combination running through a Mendeola gear box, and is it's own sort of setup.
EDIT: wow, that picture is huge, let's make that a link!!!
