dont know if this is the correct spot for this but will ask anyways. How badly will 4 degrees timing retard affect power on motor. I have it it 4 degrees retarded and it runs well on the juice, plugs look like they could use a little more timing mark is directly over the center electrode, but the car feels like a dog on motor now,doesn't pull as hard. will this much retard affect it that much? thanks in advance.

Every motor is different. Anywhere from 5-15 I would say as a guess.

If this is a everyday street car on pump gas, your timing mark is where it should be.

we messed with pulling timing on mine and i did some motor races with a car i was door to door with and after the final timing change he mightve only pulled me a bumper.

thanks for the replies! i think the motor tune is still off it runs great on the bottle but on motor it doesnt run as good as a cammed car should even the cam being a small one.
