Default Homemade block off plates

Picked up a piece of 2 inch wide by 1/8 inch thick aluminum from home depot. This should work for block off plates correct? I just gotta cut them and drill the holes for the bolts. Ill reuse the gaskets and throw some high temp rtv around it to make the seal.

I used the same thing for my block-off plates. just go buy the gasket for the egr and air instead of RTV. mine work fine; no problems!

Made my own as well before I bought headers and they worked fine. Just remember that one is a different size than the other two. I made the mistake of making them all the same size the first time around not realizing it till I went to throw them on.

I'd buy new gaskets. they're cheap and not worth the hassle to reuse and find out you have a leak.

i just pulled the old flanges off of the air and egr, then plugged and welded up the holes.

put them right back on with the gaskets that came with my header gaskets

simplest solution IMO

i cut off the flanges and put a quarter under there and put some sealant on it, then bolted it down. It only cost 50cents...cheapest mod yet
