Which cam would you recommend for a daily driven 01 6spd SS? I want to stay with the 3:42s (love going 80 and rpms under 2k) I have full exhaust, lid, and soon a pulley.

Looking for a lopey cam, but wich one would work best with my combo?

So you want to lope at 80mph? Kidding aside, I would get with PatrickG and have him spec a cam for your combo.

tsp 228r @112 lsa or maybe a toquer v2 @ 112 lsa,ask tsp for dyno numbers.

Thanks for the input guys.

Just saw some videos of the 228r & V2 cam and Im sold with either cam. Will the car run fine have the 3:42s out back? Also what springs, and push rods should I want to get? Sorry for the questions, as for I am somewhat new to internal ls1s.

Guys running either cam, whats your personal opinion on it?

you can get a tsp cam pkg,cam,springs,push rods.buy the valve spring compression tool ,and sell it after you use it.you will need a cam swap kit also.

I ran the Torquer 2 with stock 3.42s. I loved it until I ran a Pat G custom grind, now I'm totally sold on the custom cam notion. Custom cam had power through the whole band and more under the curve compared to the Torquer2. Springs, oil pump, timing chain, and pushrods should all be upgraded when doing a cam swap.

Buy an LS2 timing chain and ported LS6 oil pump and LS7 lifters couldn't hurt, when you do the swap could save you alot in the long run
