How to tell if its OEM? (hood)

Thinking about selling my car and I'm going to take off the hood and sell it seperately. I think the hood is OEM, but I want to make sure before I put it on ebay. How can I be sure?

why would you take the hood off to sell it.

I did a conversion and wouldn't get the money back out of the hood. I could sell the hood for a grand if its OEM though.

1K for a hood. What kind of hood is it. The only ones i have seen sell for that ore the firehawk hoods and some of the more rare ones.

WS6 OEM hood. I was bidding on one on ebay and it went for 1200. Factory hoods bring high amounts of coin. Im not here to argue over price though, just want to know how to figure out how to tell if its a true original or not.

Isn't there a factory stamping with a serial number of sorts somewhere on the hood? I wouldn't know, as I have an aftermarket hood lol...

well if it doesn't have those lips around the ends of the nostrils then it's certainly not real. other than that you should see a vin stamp somewhere on it.

99% of the time, the best giveaway is the underside of the hood. If it has any trace of rough unfinished fiberglass, it's not OEM

could have also been refinished, like mine was after it got damaged.

My OEM Firehawk hood has all kinds of emissions, vacuum line routing, accessory belt diagram, warning, etc stickers on the bottom. I'm not sure if people generally buy and reapply these stickers, but it probably is a good clue that its OEM.
