Default Cam Install Finally

Well after months of saving money, waiting for parts, and waiting to get on the install schedule. I am finally dropping the car off tonight, to start getting worked on tomorrow. I got the Livernois Stage 2R cam (236/236 LSA 113)

The car dyno'd untuned after the headers at 359 rwhp and 349 rwtq. Any guesses on what the numbers are gonna be when it's finished?

Not sure about power numbers, but sounds like it'll be a healthy cam and ought to sound nice! Obviously, plan on a tune to take advantage of its full potential and any plans on doing any head work, etc, down the road? I think we have decent heads oem, but imagine you could make some really good power with even better ones.

right around 400-410rwhp assuming you have long tubes and some sort of intake.

JNR we benefit hugely from a nice CNC port job on the stock heads, somewhat budget friendly and a good 25rwhp gain.

I have longtubes, cat delete, and air filter. The car will be tuned there, I was hoping for 420 but I will def take 410.

I do plan on doing heads but that is gonna come after a house and a garage.

The installer just called and said the car baselined at 362 rwhp and 351 rwtq. That's w/ longtubes and intake not tuned yet.

You have no idea how happy this makes me...

There's nothing I like more than having before/after/tuned dyno comparison when installing aftermarket parts, especially something like cams.

Don't you disappear and hold out on us!

On a side note, I wonder how that regular Stage 2 cam would be compared to the 2R...

Yeah, before and after would be great!

btw - are there any "smog friendly" cams that are worth getting into? I highly doubt CARB would allow it, but curious what's on the market for us fools that have to live under the regime, lol?

Don't worry I should have the car back by Wednesday and hopefully I can be there when the car is dyno'd for a video but either way I will post the results.

Pat G has speced out many cams for the unfortunate residents of Cali, and they still put down decent power.

Today is the day I should finally be getting the car back. I'll keep you guys updated on the numbers and driveability.

I spoke to the installer and after tuning the car put down 406 rwhp and 378 rwtq. That is an increase of 44 rwhp & 27 rwtq
