Checklist of to-do Items to get a car sitting for 5 years up and running...help! I am looking into buying a 1989 IROC. Here is the scenario:
Has a 60k crate motor (ZZ4) with an old P600B Supercharger. They were both installed a decade (supercharger) or more ago (motor).
The car has been sitting up in a garage for at least 5 years. I am not clear on the frequency of it having been started up ... it was either once a month or 3-4 times a year, so let's assume only 3-4 times a year.
3 or 4 months ago, the fuel pump went out, so the owner drained out all the fluid from motor, trans, rear.
To get this thing running again, what all should be done to make sure nothing is damaged?
