It's not often I notice any recall on a 911, but it seems someone wants to make a big deal about this one. Considering the small number of vehicles involved, I'm not so sure it was worth a national news story. Of course, it is a dangerous problem.

I just saw that as well and the very first thing I thought of was...Ryan Dunn's recent crash in his 911 GT3 (I assume it had the center lock wheels? Wheels that he'd just recently had installed as well).
Obviously alcohol and excessive speed were the main culprits there but this new development could raise one other possibility I suppose.
