Noob question: Installing UMI PHB poly/roto joint
I just purchased UMI PHB poly/roto joint.
http://www.umiperformance.com/catalo...roducts_id=355
I have 2 questions:
1. Which side should the roto joint mounted, the rear end side or the chassis side? Or it doesnt matter?
2. Should I fill the roto joint with grease? Or can i just install it as is?
Thanks!
Sid.

Hello Sid,
Install the Roto-Joint on the rear end side of the vehicle.
The Roto-Joint has a layer of grease in it from assembly but will need 1-2 pumps of grease. Make sure you use a good sticky grease like our Super Lube on that Roto-Joint. Do not over grease.
I hope that helps,
Ryan

Since he started it and I just installed one recently I have a slightly different question. Is the Poly end of the PHB supposed to sound like it's moving? I've got a "clunking" of sorts I've had since I put it in and it sounds like the poly side of the PHB is moving into the bolt that holds it so I get a "clunk" or "rattle". On stone and rougher areas I can see that but on smooth road I still get it and that bolt is tight. Checked it twice within a week and a half. I haven't really had anything with a poly mount so I just wonder if it's normal or if it's something I may have did and it's fixable so it'll quiet down.
