Default ??? for those who have widebands

Does your wide band replace the factory narrow band o2 sensor or is it used in addition to it? Is the wideband meant to stay in or is it removed when done tuning?

My wideband is an addition to my narrowband. Mine is mainly used for tuning.

I use the stock sensors, [ft 2], for PCM control. The wb is an add-on that I have wired into my EFILIVE tuning suite.
The wb MUST be powered up, [heater operating], anytime it's in the engine. Disconnecting the wiring and running the engine will eventually kill the sensor.

I have a PLX WB unit that also sims a NB for the PCM. I plug the WB into EFI Live for tuning and run a pillar gauge to keep an eye on the AFR.

you leave your narrow bands. The car uses these to control fueling.

you stick the wideband in the exhaust in addition to those other sensors.

your rear oxygen sensors however simply measure the performance of the catalytic converters.
