Happy Birthday Corvette On this day, June 30th 1953, the very first Corvette rolled out the production line in Flint, MI. 300 hand-built polo white Corvette convertibles were produced for the 1953 model year, with the Blue Flame I6. My how far this car has come in 58 years.

The factory racing effort GM Corvette racing ....defeated the Porsche 911, Ferrari 458, and the Bmw M-3 ...Aston martin etc at the 24hours of lemans. A true testement to the superior might and endurance of the LS motor and corvette as a sports car.
