I raced one today from a roll and it was even up till I let off at about 70. I was wondering how these two relate? Which is faster from stock? Thanks

was it a gt or no? if it was a base g8 then you would kill him every time. a g8 gt has more power stock but weighs about the same as the impala. so stock for stock it would prolly win

Sounds about right with the mods. Anything over 90 in the SS and the G8 will start pulling.

G8 is a couple hundred lbs higher, my Imp weighed 3880, and my brothers G8 was 4110, and we weigh the same. In my experience, the G8 was faster everywhere. He was stock and let me get a hit, and hit rev limiter and still beat me on the set up I ran high 13's in.

Yes it was a GT. Plus I had my wife and kid in the car and the G8 was just the driver.

oh i was under the impression the g8 was a hundred pounds heaving then the gxp

The Impala is a hundred or so pounds heavier than the GXP and the G8 is about 200 lbs over the Impala. So G8 has ~300 lbs on the GXP.

good to know, if it has a "v" or a "g8" on the back of it i usually just save my self the embarrassment now i have something to work with i guess

I wouldn't mess with a CTS-V, the LS6 is potent and the LS2 ones are not to be messed with unless you're very modded. Don't know about the other Vs.

i raced a new cts-v sedan and beat it, they arent that fast, high 12s. The g8 gt is much faster, stock for stock though again our cars, obviously so is the cts-v

New as in LSA new? Second fastest production sedan in the world, unless you don't count the Panamera, which I don't, it's a wagon, new?

No way you beat a 2nd generartion CTS-V. They run 12 @ 118 bone stock. 0-60 is very high 3's to very low 4's.
