Default Help Grinding Noise

I have a 99 C5 and noticed tonite when I went to back out of my driveway in reverse and let off the clutch it made a grinding noise from the tranny, then noticed it does it in first when taking off too, and sometimes when ur going thru the gears normally driving u can hear it also, car was fine before this, I have about 55k on it, any ideas? Clutch or trans shot?

I have never had that problem, but if it drives fine it might be your throw out bearing. Just my 2cents

Yea drives fine, I'm probably just gonna do the clutch while I'm at it rite?

Grinding while your shifting or just moving forward? Check and make sure your trans/diff oil levels or full also? good luck

Definitely, plus headers, and a supercharger.

I can have the car in neutral and step on the clutch and as soon as i let it up it makes that grinding noise

Sounds like a hydraulic problem which are common. Master cylinder, slave cylinder and throw out bearing
