Default AFR 205's, FM7, stalled auto dyno numbers

This is a customers car that has been a nightmare but I am finally waking up I think. The car is a 2001 C5 Vett and has 120,xxx+ miles on it. It made 240/230rw when I got it. Now it makes 425/407rw SAE. On a very conservative tune. 12.7 afr across the board at the tail pipe with timing from 21*-24*. Dyno conditions, F* 93.78, 30.04 in Hg, Humidity 29%, Smoothing 5. No cool down between runs except to change the tune.

Combo.

AFR 205's 59cc
GM MLS gaskets
Futral FM7 224/230 .58x/.59x 114
TXS 100mm MAF
Nick Williams 100mm TB
FAST 102
FAST 57lb injectors
UD
EWP
OBX headers w/ catt's
RPM lvl 6 4l60E
Yank 3,600
Geartrag 3.73 diff

I got one run that was almost 430rw but wasn't worth it so I dropped it back down. What do you all think? I think this combo is kicking butt for what it is. Peak power was at 5,700 and holds to 6,500. Peak tq is at 4,800. On the way home it spun the tires at 60mph. I will try to post a graph later.

sounds like a fun ride with being the lightweight of a C5. What did you mean by it was almost 430 and you backed it down? Backed what down??

I backed the timing down three degrees and fattened the fuel up almost half a point.

Was it knocking? It should take at least 25*, my 402 runs at 28* with 11:4:1 comp.

It would pull about .2* at 27* and only gained a couple hp so it wasn't worth it. Plus the heat was pretty bad yesterday. All of my old motors were in the 11.8-12.0:1 comp and I ran up to 30* with on those motors with no problem, but again, best power was around 26*-28*. I want to keep it safe and I will give up 5/5rw to do it.

Looks like you got the bugs worked out.
AFR 205s are great heads. I have them on my car. They work well.

It's an auto, with a stall and 3.73 gears so I would say those numbers are pretty damn good. I had that same combo except for a TR224 and a 78mm FAST and it ran mid 11's all day with a bad tune that shifted at 6000 rpms. I'd say your good for low 11's - high 10's.

I figured it would only go 400 to 410 with a good tune rw. This combo came off a M6 car except with a 90/90 and no EWP and I think it only made 430rw. The cam is a pretty old design on XE lobes I believe with a 114 lobe sep. I am pretty happy with it. This dyno also reads 10rw or so lower than the other dynos in the area but the cars run the number. Just to put it into perspective, I had a 383 that almost made 500rw in my Z06 and only made 440-450rw in a like auto on this dyno.

Another H/C auto that I did that made 410rw ran 10.8 or 9 @ 122-124. That was a vert too. I am expecting some good things with this car if it is ever taken to the track with good tires. It has a trans brake so that should be interesting.

If an auto is making those numbers expect a M6 to make a solid 450-460 through a 10 bolt.
