Default 200-250 and make it last

Looking to upgrade shortblock this winter to up the juice to 200 and then 250 when that isnt enough. I was looking to go with a wiseco or diamond forged pistons with file fit rings and h-beam rods, stock crank, and arp studs top and bottom. What pistons and rods have you all had good luck with? I want to keep it between 10.5-11.2cr for pump gas. Obviously wouldnt be spraying the 250 with pump gas.

Have had good luck with both pistons.
Compstar rods were good for our street stuff with 300+ on them.

How much are their off the shelf pistons good for until you need to start getting custom made pistons? Also how much with the stock crank hold up to. Iv seen them hold up 1000+ in forced induction but I know nitrous is a little more violent.

No. It's not my daily and it only gets sprayed at the track. Would rather run good fuel for the entire setup if I'm gonna spray that much to keep it together longer.

If you do over a 200 and over I would get a dedicated if you want to be safe and last. What makes a motor last is
Good tunning, cold plugs, and take alot of timing out to be safe do your homework.
You could have the best pistons and rods in the world but if you dont do the stuff above right it will not matter.

I run diamond pistons compstar rods and callies crank.

Spot on.

Just about any quality bottom end part's with a spot on tune will handle a LOT of nitrous. Takes good distribution, proper tuning, and a drive line to support it.

As said above, you still want good parts in the motor, but nothing will save you if the tune up is not right.
