Default Won't shift into third at high RPM

I think I already know the answer to this is drill mod and/or new master cylinder, but regardless could use some input.

When I go WOT I hit the 1-2 shift fine. But when it comes to the 2-3, it just won't go into gear. As in the stick just won't go there. Also, of the 3 times this has happened, the clutch pedal will then stick real close to the floor. I have to pull it back up manually and then all is well.

During normal driving, the car shifts fine...no grinding or difficulty going into gear. I hear some drivetrain noise, but nothing out of the ordinary from what I understand, especially with a short stick.

I recently bought the car and I know it has a new clutch, but I have no idea if the hydraulics were done. I've only owned cable clutch cars in the past so this is a new game to me. What's my first step in resolving this?

The drill mod is a bandaid, but, at least for me, has mosly worked. It's also free, so a nice place to start. Before the drill mod, I often could not get into 3rd after a particular slow turn on a road course. After, it has still happened, but quite rarely. It makes a difference.

I'm sure you will here many pluses for the Tick MC. It's on my to-do list, but I'll probably wait for a tranny upgrade.

I had the same problem with my shift but not my pedal. I put in the tick M-C and it really made a difference!

Thanks for the input. I wasn't able to get under the car today, so I went ahead and used the drain and fill method in the sticky to clean out the clutch fluid. The fluid was very dark, so I'm hoping this will improve things. I still need to run some more fluid through to make it perfectly clear, but it looks much, much better. I feel like I'm I'm gonna do the drill mod, then I might as well do the master solve the problem long term. We'll see if it comes to that.

Tick master. it even helped me shift when my stock clutch was just bad, now with LS7 clutch shifting has never been better.
