Default Exhaust Recommendations PLEASE!

I am new to the forums. My 02 SS has the stock CME. I'm curious who is running: -Pacesetter LT's -TSP Y. Finally ready to replace the exhaust. It's a relatively cheap set-up. Does anyone have pictures/video of their set-up.

-Is Ceramic Coated headers the best option?

-On a Scale of 1-10. Borla XR-1 ?

Sir, you're in the GEN IV section.

I'm running painted Pacesetters with TSP Y and a Magnaflow bullet dumped at the axle. I love it. The painted pacesetters are NOT pretty though, and starting to rust in some parts. If you have the money get ceramic coated.

Welcome! You'll find a lot of people running that set up however, I'm an LT1 guy so I cant provide any experience or pics.

As far as ceramic headers, if you can dish out the extra cash go for em!

And the Borla XR1 is an awesome sounding muffler but, a lot of cops dont like it. And asking exhaust opinions on this forum is like asking who is the hottest female of all time, so be prepared for mixed feelings.

Everyone I know loves it, No rasp, nice and deep, can be quiet but once you open it up it's LOUD. From what I've heard the XR-1 sounds better, but they both perform the same, since they're straight through. I wanted performance on a budget so I got the $70 magnaflow instead of dishing out $140 for the Borla. You should check out Sweet Thunders too.

Good luck!

Hahaa then I might just consider a different muffler. I'm feeling Ceramic is my only option.
I'm open to listen to anyone's opinion. If there is something better for cheaper/less $ i'll view my options.

I've always liked how borla has sounded and i wouldn't mind spending $140.

By just replacing the muffler you probably wouldnt be able to run your cme. Somebody correct me if I am wrong.
