Default raced a fully built evo on high boost!!

so i finally got to run my buddys fully built evo on meth/race gas and 40psi...

went from a 40 roll, and spun like a ****/side ways, but still did pretty good considering i was on street tires..40mph to 125
http://youtu.be/kqRU5lrgaoE

than we did a 60 roll, it didnt spin, but i was manually shifting it and shifted it to 3rd too late and bounced off the limiter, so he got ahead of me...60-130

http://youtu.be/ibhE98HgmR0

not bad i say, this guy is a good *** driver as you cant hear when he shifts.
evo put down 550whp 500trq on a mustang dyno (read lower than dyno jets).
i was a lil excited on the vids

that's some short races. why no dig? please don't say because of traction in your stalled auto.

A "fully built" Evo doesn't have an FP Red lol. That's a stock frame turbo.

Good races nonetheless. I doubt that Evo is a 130 car though, so I'm surprised you didn't pull him.

FWIW, he's not running 40psi, he's spiking to 40psi. By redline that turbo won't make much beyond 28-30 if he's lucky, and of course pressure doesn't mean flow. 40psi from a big turbo Evo is entirely different than 40psi from a middleweight turbo, so don't get hung up on the boost number.

The Evo should be a 130 car. 550whp on a mustang is a great number from an FP Red.

I don't know about that, a cammed GTO on a 175 hit would be 125+ and he lost soo...

It depends. Mustang Dynos vary GREATLY (as shown by TTP ).

I'm not denying that the Evo is quick, but it is not fully built and I'd think a GTO on a 175 hit would be able to pull it, but who knows.

Lulz, mustang dyno = a money maker. No tuner would let ther custy dyno low with their tune on any car on a loaded mustand dyno.

Fully built EVOs typically make 750 - 800ish awhp, good friend of mine just finished his and made 735/580 busting up after 8k rpms. On MT ET streets on all 4s spinning on the hit he ran a 10.19 at 141 this past sat night at SGMP.

the only fully built evo i know of was running high 9s and trapping 150+ with very audible misfires in the high(er) rpm range. this was all evident from the videos.

that, my friend, was not a fully built evo. that's prob a stock short car on alternative fuel and a larger turbo haha. sorry to knock down your kill story but that is nowhere near a "fully built evo"...sorry hah.

ya. i saw this thread and expected to see a very badass lsx. needless to say, i was let down. op has a nice very car, but not something in the ball park of what the title implies.

edit: and i don't know that i'd call that white car a fullt built one. i really think the owner knows exactly wtf he is doing through and through.

I doubt the evos a 130 car. He would have pulled you harder then that from 60. I think you would take him if it was at the track

How hard are you expecting a 130 car to pull a 129.5 car?
