Question Converter unlocking more than usual in the last 1500 miles????

So I am helping a friend with a 2002 Trans Am 66xxx miles stock LS1 and stock A4. He is noting that with the cruise set at @60 MPH the RPM's fluctuate about 200 or so indicating the converter is unlocking. He stated that this has only been happening in the last 1500 miles and that around 80MPH its fine. Any ideas on what I should tell him to look for? Service the transmission? TCC Solenoid?

Any info would be great.

Good point on the scanner, cause you never know what the ECM is seeing. I was just hoping someone may have had a similar issue and could help point him in a direction.
