Default 58x or 24x

I was tearing apart a 6.0 LQ4 yesterday and the crank has 2 reluctors on the back. each with 24 teeth. does this make it a 24x?

The 24X wheels are two-piece stampings, spot-welded together. The teeth alternate from side to side.

The 58X wheel appears as a single machined piece.

What all is different between 58x and 24x, as far as engine stand point. Sensors, reluctors, gears?
