317's???? im new to the ls world so i need a little help, i have a 99 z-28, with headers,4.10's, so i have some 317's to replace the 853's? i think thats the #, anyway not wanting to spend alot of money, i know the cr will be alittle less but thats ok, the heads will be ported, is this a good upgrade over what i have? wht can i expect for hp gain? any input on this would be helpful,thx,also the car still has the factory tune

You will lose power unless you flycut the heads down to a similar chamber size to stock (cc-wise). You are going to spend more money trying to make the 317s work, which most people now only use for low-compression boost setups.
You are better off saving your money for something else. Nitrous is the best bang-for-the-buck, as far as $ spent/hp go.
