What options should I look for in a G8? If you have any door jam codes, that would be awesome.

6.0, 6.2 if you lucky. There aren't a lot of options so pick your color. I think the 09.5's have Bluetooth

The 6.2 will only come in the GXP model. The GT will be a 6.0.
There aren't many options for the GT models. 18" and 19" wheels, sunroof, clotch/leather seats. The later half of '09 does get bluetooth. Nothing that will make or break a car, IMO. It's not quite like shopping for an F-body with all their options, haha.

With the GXP you also have the option of a manual transmission. Some G8's have red accented interiors.

For the V6 and GT only options you have is the Premium and sport package, then either sun roof or no sun roof.
The GXP came with the Sport and Premium package as part of the GXP option, only option you had on a GXP was M6 or A6 and then sunroof or not.
All GXP's are 2009.5, easiest way to tell is if the car has bluetooth and if the rear seat has the cup holder that slides out right above the transmission tunnel.

The G8s with a "9L3" VIN would be the 2009.5 models. Those have the bluetooth
I would skip the sunroof and go for the sports package, better wheels IMHO.

I'd skip out on the sunroof. It is noisy and known of too many people having issues with them. Less weight. ;)

And the option for black (onyx) or black/red interior. When I was looking for a GXP, I wanted onyx, but settled on onyx/red because the car was perfect otherwise. I'm glad I did, now I like it:

The Premium package upgrades the cloth seats to leather seating surfaces, driver and passenger heated seats, six-way power driver seat adjuster, 6-way power front-passenger seat adjuster, rear center armrest, and a leather-wrapped shift lever and steering wheel.
The sports package adds sport metallic pedals, QS4 19" machine-faced aluminum wheels, summer performance tires and a slightly smaller diameter, leather-wrapped Sport steering wheel.
