Thats not true. My cars has a sticking clutch. Its hard to get third and fourth gear and I'll be there running it any way. So I have an ls1 he can probably outrun :nod:....

well i will have my new race stars and DR's here on monday! and hopefully i'll have an SLP ultra Z hood and SS spoiler on the car by then :)

aaaand my rear end with 3.73's should be out of timmy's car tomorrow so i can put it in the car this weekend! i wanna make a half way respectable run on the 29th!

also i will most likely be bringing my car out in my trailer, so if anybody is planning on changing tires at the track, and needs to leave the jack and street tires / tools or anything somewhere. my trailer will be open.

I believe it. I dd a 420 rwhp 94 Z28 for 3 years. I put the hurt on a lot of unsuspecting ls cars. And in truth, I enjoyed that car more than I have my 99 so far.

That's because the guy you bought it from put the LT4 Hot Cam in it.

Lol yeah right! If I had a hotcam I would be running 12.7's. Its light and has the driver mod :drive: When I slap in my ai cam next winter I will be runnin low 12's!!

I'm going to say tentative maybe for me, I've been fighting a misfire problem on the Camaro for a few months now and haven't figured it out yet. I'm also still low-boost and not dyno tuned, so the v6 will probably only run high 12's on street tires. It was running 13.2 with me shifting like grandma pulling 2.3 60's before it acted up, lol. 105mph... not bad for a v6? Man I can't wait to kick the boost up another 5lbs and turn the juice on, suckers gonna fly.

If you plan on running 14's, you will need a roll cage, DS safety loop and a fire extinguisher....and someone there filming to prove it :chug:

So your SS tranny took a dump? You still going on the Crater Lake cruise?

Whip - I've got a spare TH400 from my motorhome (no TQ) if interested.

And to run 14's you do not need a roll bar, helmet, DS loop, or fire extinguisher.

nothing too bad, new wheel & control arm. The tow truck did more damage, cracked up my bumper, pinched my power steering, beat up my AC condensor :(

You can go 14s with NO safety equipment at PIR

and as fast as 11.5 with nothing but a helmet & a driveshaft loop (which they wont check for)

they even allow motorcycle snell helmets

More than likely yes, but it might depend if it has the passenger car tailhousing or the truck tailhousing. Being it came from the motor home, I'm guessing it would have the truck style but that's about all I know.

Yeah the trucks are a short style tail shaft I should grabthe TH400 outtta the cappice!

There are a lot of variables. You can have a short tail housing TH350 in a car or a long tail housing (station wagon usually) and then there is the truck 4x4 with no housing. All the same applies to the TH400. I don't think mine will work for ya, where as mine had the E-brake drum mounted directly to the tail, thus I don't have a yoke for it and I'm sure it is a different size shaft/splines than the TH350.

Still not expecting much out of it yet, gotta find someone who will dyno tune it (wong doesn't seem to have any interest), PSI is really interested in it, so I guess that's where it goes.

PSI is interested in just about anything, :zzz:

English also does alot of tuning on turbo applications.

1st tuner for me is tom and 2nd would be english. Ill pass on PSI.

Shit man you wouldn't be the only one. My first time out last year that all I did was 2.2+. My average was 2.6. I didn't heat up the tires nor did I launch it too hard. My best was a 13.1 @110. That was with full bolt on's. Since then I've added the EPS cam, Fast 92, B&M Ripper and 4.10's.

I'm in, though I'll be on street tires (skinny 255's), and my posi doesn't work all that well either, still low boost... recipe for slow yet again! Maybe with it tuned better than last time it'll run 12's at least, I've made 4 passes with this setup total, and all of them were complete crap in every aspect.

And on my tuning adventure, called English and they don't have any of the stuff to tune my V6, called Wong again and he finally answered the phone. Chatted for a while, scheduled a tune for his next opening which is August 29th. Too far away I think time wise, but I'll wait I guess. PSI sounds like a bad idea listening to you guys, guess I'll pass on them.

Count me out, the v6 lost oil pressure and started knocking last night at PIR, never got a good pass out of it before it did. Every run had a crappy launch, or I missed a shift, tune was pretty good and it was running about 110mph on 11lbs of boost a couple runs. Can't a guy catch a break? :(

A) it was shifting at 4800-4900 rpm in drive (tried manually shifting it and that didn't work all that hot

B) it started to ping about 3900+ rpm and I could feel it loosing power the higher up the rpms went as it was pulling timing out

C) it was spinning the DR's baaaad. Not all that impressed with the nitto 275/50/15's..

But i made 3 passes and the best being 12.53 @ 111 with a 1.899 best 60'

So all I have some tuning and tweaking to do before next week thats for sure! But I don't feel like that was too terrible for the first time out, and for a $3000 car with a baby ass cam! But just taking the car on a couple good freeway drives and and getting it opened up a bit it seems to run alot better!

Shifting at 4800-4900:confused:. Wouldn't shifting up around 6k be better? I only ask because I don't know. With my old LT1 auto, running a hotcam I was shifting at 6200 and that's a little cam also.

Oh yeah. I want to get it shifting around 6100-6200 at WOT in drive.

My best was a 12.6 at 111 and I was dropping with each run, started out at a 13.0 and dropped down the the 12.6
Im positive with less air in the tires and cooler air I can get a 12.5 out of it

Sure was fun! cant wait to go again

i ran shity best was 11.9 at 115 banging off rev limiter 1st to 2nd and 2nd to third really hard and i had to let out of it for 2nd to 3rd for it to shift. and i couldnt get better then a 1.75 60. Once i get the shift points figured out ill run it again.

Thanks, I wasnt expecting to run that fast. Im still learning how to launch it right, I got some 1.8 60s but its still spinning between shifts lol. I will disconnect the sway bar next time too

I wont mod the motor till I blow the 10 bolt, I wanna see how fast I can run with bolt ons on a 9" hopefully the 10 bolt will last till next yr.

The Goat felt pretty good. Still playing around with the launches, but I didn't break anything! Well at least with the motor and trans, my amp rack and GoPro are a different story.:eyes:

Yeah im going have him lower down the shift speeds to match the 4.10's. No spray yet just motor. Im hoping to get 11.5s out of it the way it is right now. and i also need to get some new et streets cause mine are pretty bald. But shit man you ran good friday night=)

No I ran it last yr with the LS6 intake and it just upped my mph a little. The difference this yr is some DRs :)

If the 10 bolt holds up I'm hoping for 12.4-12.5s, my mph is still good for low 12s. Just need a low 1.8 or high 1.7 60ft

If I spit out gears at the line you might be getting a call :lol:

I'm running the Nitto NT555R. so far I've been really happy with em, they hook good at the track and they hook and handle well on the street too.

+1 for the Nitto's. Great tires. If I drag raced, I would probably want some MT ET Street Radials over the Nittos...But the majority of my driving is around town and the Nittos work and wear great.

I need to get the tune dialed in asap, I've got an autox in two weeks that I want to bring my A-game to. I was rallying the maryhill loops private road this weekend and didn't want to keep it in the upper rpms still needing a tune so I wasn't as fast as I could be :( (still a total blast to speed legally on a crazy road)

I'm thinking i'm going to pick up that hp tuners/wideband combo special in the sponsors forum and just be done with it :D

Time to start cutting those finders..lol..
