Default DT header install

Still have not had a chance to install the headers. Question though, does the engine have to be dropped/removed to do it?

In other bad news, the motor in my QTP cutout burned out.

that sucks.... the motor does not have to come out. Just remove the rear coil packs, air box, and rear valve cover and you will be fine. It is a straight forward install. Just make sure you get the right gaskets and make sure you clamp everything down SUPER TIGHT otherwise you will have a lot of leaks.

I already picked up an digital controller for the cutout. Hopefully that will preserve the motor life for me.

Now to find the time to install the headers. Any recommended gaskets?

Thanks for the help!

Gm standards work fine. I used a set of Kooks 1 7/8 headers and the rear one split on me. I had to buy a stock metal one and it works fine.
