Default MAF question

I've got the stock maf sensor on my trans am with a mail order tune and I just ordered the SLP maf for it along with a FAST 102 that I'm going to have installed and a dyno tune done. i read that its for use with stock tuning so could I go ahead and put it on and drive it to the tuner or will i need to be tuned for it first. I'm guessing I can't but I thought I'd ask. Thanks

That should be ok, the only problem is the "stock" tuning with the SLP might throw off the trims. Since you already have a tune, it'll be different when it's tuned for power.

According to SLP, you shouldn't have to get the car tuned, but that is when the car has a stock tune.
