Default Bad rings ls2

Ok so my ls2 rings are bad, this much I know. Anytime I get on it at all it's a smoke show, it's getting worse. I've already come to grips it's getting pulled this off season. Is there anything I can do to slow down the oil consumption or slow down the smoke? We have built a catch can to save some of the blow by but am I just screwed all around or is there anything I can do. Thanks

Go to the parts store and a get a can of "no smoke" and pour that in the oil. It might help for a bit but if you know for sure your rings are bad (comp. test and leak down test) you just need to tear the motor down.

I'm pretty sure they are shot, haven't done the test yet, but from what my shop has said and reading similar issues, that seems like the commen problem. It only does it when I get into the throttle and when I let off after a high rpm.

Do your tests. It might be bad valve seals and guides but from the amount of smoke you are describing you might be right about the rings
