Okay I'm thinking about getting a new cam but I haven't really decided. Kinda window shopping.. I need some advice from you guys. Here is the specs of the motor now.
SBC 86' 350 4 bolt main
Steel SCAT crank
Stock rods
Cast aluminum KB flattop pistons
Dart Iron Eagle 200cc heads, older style
1.6 procomp roller rockers
Edelbrock performer RPM cam and lifters
Tunnel ram intake
Dual holley 600cfm carbs
Is this a decent cam to use with this motor or should I consider getting a different one? The motor is in a 91 s10 shortbox.

I'm a big fan of the xtreme energy series. since its an 86 block I'd personally go with the xe274 if you're not looking to get too crazy.
IMO edelbrock makes incredible intakes, but it pretty much ends there. their line of cams leave a lot to be desired.

The edelbrock cam thats in it sounds pretty good but it'll be awhile until I can test the performance of it. Is that cam you suggested any bigger than the edelbrock I have? I'm assuming the xe274 is a better performing cam and will take better advantage of the dart heads I have.

I think you really need to be honest about how you are going to use the truck and go from there. I love the extreme energy cams, but both of the ones mentioned do not ned a tunnel ram and twin carbs. If you are going to be racing and turning some rpm's , then stick with the tunnel ram and get your self a much larger cam to take advantage, otherwise trade the tunnel ram for a performer rpm air gap , bolt on a 750 holley and call it a day. Just sayin....
