howdy, new to the forum. need help on a motor for my project. background on the project it is a 68 chevy c10. it will be just a weekend driver. the truck weights 3700 lbs without driver. goals are: cruising, stop light to stop light , and a few trips to the local drag strip. what i have in mind would be a gm ly6 stroker with a healthly cam , heads, and good internals. or gm 6.2 with a cam and procharger. both will be back with a 6l80e trans with 3.42 gears in a 12 bolt rear. with responses please tell why you choose what motor and what products you would install. and any other build ideas would be great to. oh yeah budget, is 13500 for motor and transmission.
