Default FS: 1970 911 LS1 Project

Year: 1970
Make: Porsche
Model: 911
Price: $10000
Mileage: 0
Private or Dealer Listing: Private Listing
Location (State): CA
Color: Yellow
Transmission: Manual
Drivetrain: Rear Wheel Drive
LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

I feel like I've run out of time with my project and it's not going to get done.

I thought I would try to list the entire lot as one rather than a part out, but I will part if there's no interest. No hard feelings

To start, the car is a 1970 911 with a 964 body kit installed. It's not a prime example of a 1970 911 as far as originality, which is why it was chosen as a host for this project.

Work done to date:
Front end modified to support and house a radiator. Radiator installed. Fans Installed. Dual 12"
Fuel pump/returnless ls1 fuel filter. Fuel line run to rear of car.
Coolant lines run to rear of car
Coilover suspension installed in rear. Removed torsion bar setup.
Battery relocated to smugglers box

Parts included: ( I will forget a few..)
Meziere electric water pump setup, AN fittings, Block adapters, etc.
2001 LS1 from a Camaro SS with Corvette Z06 yellow springs. Incl TB, MAF, IAC, etc. Brand new Harmonic Balancer.
1978 4 Speed 930 Trans with complete clutch set (needs TOB/Ring Gear)
Shorty Headers
Stock 915 and 930 axles. A hybrid axle needs to be built, with 930 inners and 915 outers)
Standalone LS1 wire harness (only needs +12, Switched, and ground.

Engine was converted to front sump from the GTO so it will allow for full oil pressure under hard acceleration, rather than braking.

There are parts I can't think of at this time, but I will take a full inventory in a few hours and update this.

Here is a link to my build so the car/progress can be seen.

And here's a link to some pictures of the car itself when I bought it.

When the project is done it will need paint/front fenders. There was some bad bondo work on the front fenders that has started to split and crack. They can probably be reshaped and painted. The rest of the paint was not a superb job by any means.

I am asking for $10,000 FIRM as a whole. I I could part this out for more if I spent the time and then sell the shell at the end, but I'd love to see someone finish it and get it running. I'm possibly switching jobs and will have even less time to get this going.

PM me for more information!

-Matt

edit: Duh, this also includes the flywheel adapter kit from Renegade Hybrids in Palmdale. Kit includes everything required to bolt the transaxle to the LS1. Correct brand new starter also included.

As far as I know, I'm the only other person with a Porsche for sale on here right now and I've gotta say, this will be a GREAT deal for someone! 911/V8 swaps are incredibly cool and it sounds like this one has all the right parts so far and is headed in the right direction.

Good luck to you mbaran, I hope to see pics of the finished product once someone completes the car!
