New LS1 Owners - Newbie Tech - What to look for?

Alright I am looking for an F-Body and I think I have one lined up its a stock Trans Am (m6) with 69k miles for 11,500 - what are things that I should look for, what goes bad on these cars.

And my budget is to around $12,500 - $13k do you think I could get a better car for this money? With 69k miles do you think things will start to break?

Anyways input from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

not to many mechanical problems with the fbody; great engines and trannies wrapped around in a mediorcre package. the rear end is the most suspect. i bought my z28 w/ 93k miles on it and had no problems. what year t/a is it?

its a 98

you should be able to find some a little cheaper if its 98. i've seen alot of them go for under 10k.
