This weekend I raced a 2011 camaro ss from a dig and also from a 65-70mph roll. Both times I walked him really bad. Also I had a passenger that weighs 250lbs. I don't understand how I only make 308rwhp and 320rwtq and was able to do this. My car dynoed on a mustang dyno. Help me understand.

Your car with those mods would probably dyno ~330-340rwhp on the "average" dyno.

Dynos are calibrated tools and depend on that calibration to give results. Some read "high" and some read "low".

Also dynos do not do any favors for automatic cars due to the torque converter slip. Your results are very believable especially if the the 2011 was an automatic or a badly driven manual.

Was the 10ss an auto or manual and do you know the mods??

It was a stock auto...@thunderstruck my #'s in my sig are base #'s before I modded up and that's what has me confused.

I was just stating a automatic fbody with a ls6 intake, headers, exhaust, and lid will average ~330rwhp.

The point being on a different dyno your car could put down 330rwhp, 345rwhp, 350rwhp etc.

Dyno numbers don't mean much.

Are you sure it was an SS?

So what I'm getting from you is that peak power really doesn't as mean much as the power thru the curve. According to my dyno sheet I gain all the way through the curve. @Mercury...yea I'm 100% sure it was a SS.the guy paced me for about three or four miles before we raced.

You asked how you could beat a 11 SS with 308rwhp. Your dyno numbers don't mean anything...they might as well be imaginary. Dynos are tools for measuring changes in HP based on tuning/modifications done in the same session. You could take your car to 3 different dynos and get 3 different HP readings on the same day. The dyno owner/operator can also make them read high or low based on inputs or calibrations.

For average I meant average out of all the ls1 fbodies with the mods you listed, not your average HP.

As for why you beat him, there are many possible reasons. New Camaros are fat pigs, automatics only make about 330rwhp, jackasses can't drive the stick cars, some people don't know to turn off traction control, etc etc etc. There is more to racing than HP and there is more to HP than a stupid piece of paper from a tuning tool. HP is not measurable, it must be calculated.

Yeah I can see you beating a auto stock ss. Dont stress the dyno numbers just bring it to the track thats what really matters

I would guess it's going to be hot/humid and you don't have a stall listed...

I wouldn't expect better than 8.6@84mph if you hook.
