gots shifter problem!

Default gots shifter problem!

stock hurst shifter ,rattles,and when in every gear has enough slop that it can be moved at least 1 inch forward,backward, and side to side in any gear. grinds into first but not all the time,grinds into 2nd but not all the time. can i get rebuild parts for this shifter? if so where? gm? hurst? thanks ahead.

pull the shifter off and see if the plastic cup is broken before you buy anything, that much slop can be the nylon cup and would explain the grinding since it's not going all the way into gear

if it's not that then disassemble the shifter and check the bottom of the big silver chunk for damage, I saw one that the whole bottom where the "ball" rides chunked out so the shifter was shot and not rebuildable

is it where the ball rides in the trans ? or are you talking about the housing that the shifter rod is secured to ? thanks

Look at Hurst's website. The do offer a rebuild service if the shifter is the issue.

hey old man howz it going? got your email the other day. I have a Hurst billit plus and it's light years ahead of the stock Hurst. I think it only cost about $190. Get a Tick master cylinder too and that bitch will shift good.

fst ss what up? pulled my shifter cup ok , shifter skakey and loose got mgw coming next few days. gobbled on a 350z on 55 southbound this morning. those guys look pastey and a little like ugly sissies. oops!! buy the way that OLD goof ball you work with likes to sniff his own farts!!
