Exclamation chargers and challengers

Recently a charger r/t edition tried to run me ... well that didn't turn out to well and as well as the srt-8 challenger they are not very impressive cars at all. I expected more out of them. I believe the challenger had exhaust and the charger was just slow.

Try running a 392 Challenger with a couple bolt-ons and you're opinion might sway a little bit. lol Nice SS btw!

Well I have heads, cam, longtubes, exhaust, hyper tuned, lid, k&n filter. So I understand my car isnt stock lol but don't get me wrong I like the look of both the cars I just thought they were faster that all. I am sure that would change though if they had a few bolt on's lol.

not surprised on the charger RT, but do you care to share any DETAILS on your run in with the SRT8 challenger?

i'm away for work and driving a new charger rental car (had 24 miles on it) and i'm also disappointed in dodge. it feels like a real turd compared to the 2011 v6 mustang i drove. these mopar shared platform cars (magnum, 300, charger, etc...) all have the same slow and crappy feel. to add to the effect, it has fake carbon fiber all over the dash. after driving this, i really don't care to see how it does in SRT8 form.

I raped a Challenger SRT-8 with my 98 H/C/bolt-ons Z28... It was expected though considering I was lighter and had more hp at the wheels then he had at the crank.

But, I did run a SRT-8 Charger while in my TBSS from 50 and he put 3 cars on my to 120. My TBSS is stock though...

Good kills. Two cars I have never got to race me,i have tried to bait them numerous time's but no luck .Right after I had gears installed, literally was driving home from the shop and a srt-8 300 roll's by me and revs the **** out of his engine,if my gears were broken in I could of had a lil fun! That kinda sucked.lol

The challenger sounded like all it had was exhaust. It may be cause those cars are so heavy I don't know. But it just seemed like a turd. I just thought they were faster. But they are big body cars with a lot of weight . Because he actually pulled first before I got on it. And I pulled him bad. And this was from maybe a 20 mph roll.

Well the SRT-8 cars run just a smidgen better than a stock LS1 from a roll, so I wouldn't be surprised at all. Think how bad you would pull a stock LS1.

I raced a stock srt8 Challenger the first year they came out. We went from a 20mph roll and I put 3 cars by 2nd gear but had to shut down because of traffic. I was running 12.9s back then. I test drove a r/t and it was a very disappointing. The new 392 seems to be quick though. So I hear....

Never been a mopar fan but I love the way the Challenger looks.

Saw a 392 yesterday getting gas. Sweet looking cars and you know they will be rare. I just can't get past the weight and price

thanks man, a H/C LS1 will wipe the floor with a stock or bolt on SRT8 car. only way to even it up would be a H/C Srt8 even then it would have to be a good setup.

My dad has an 2010 M6 Srt8 challenger. I have headers/lid/exhaust and other small stuff.. My car feels quicker than his car due to responsiveness and the lighter weight... but his car is definitely faster, and it is rather noticeable. It pulls like a **** from 45 mph on up. guess it takes a second for the 4200 lbs and the 20's to get going.
