Default transmission gurus come in got a Q

what is the plug in the side of the driver side of the 4l60 for ....? can it be used for my tranny gauge? thanks for the info

4l60/700r4 - lock-up

4l60e - lock-up and I think it interfaces with the PCM as well as your NSS relay

The one in the tailshaft is your speed sensor

I'm not a 100% on the 4L60E as it may be a little different in that way other than the electronic valve body.

its not a electric plug it is a screw in plug ... i was wondering if i can put my sensor in there

its a test port for pressure . yes u can put a tranny pressure gauge in it and tie in a temp gauge inline butt your better off doing it in a cooler line or tapping the trans pan

I put mine in the pan. Welded a bung for it to screw into. It also doubles as a drain plug.

The pan is the best place for your gage sensor.
