Default 383 crate engine cam advice

Would a 502 lift cam unleash the actual potential of a set of 200cc trick flows? Pistons are like 10.2:1. Just found this engine for sale and didn't seem like a wise choice, but guess cam could be changed easily enough. I was wanting to run NA and he was planning super charger. 383 lt1

Do you mean the CC502? Or a .502" lift cam? Either way, neither one of those cams belongs in a N/A 383, regardless of the head choice. Any other stats on the cam?

Nevermind...that's an excellent cam, for a blower setup. Not so much for a N/A...

Thanks. I knew you wanted less compression with blower, but didn't know how cam affected it.
