Default Changing gear oil in 10 bolt Q's

I'm quite meticulous about my car and like to keep everything up to date on fluid changes etc. My rear end has richmond 4.10's in it that whine a bit, I'm not worried about reducing the whine too much, just want to do what's best for the car.

I bought two quarts of royal purple 75w-90 and I'm not sure on which cover gasket to purchase, and if I should use the additive or not, and if so should I use GM or Ford?

Thanks!

With rp u do not require the lsd addictive. but I think your rear end require running regular non syn 80w90 with lsd addictive. I alway use felpro gasket for 10 bolt, with tiny of black rtv on each side of gasket,

So... I should return the Royal Purple, and pick up some non synthetic blend 80w90 and a bottle of additive from GM, along with a felpro gasket and add some black rtv to it?

So you put RTV on each side of the gasket? quite a bit or just a thin bead?

I'm going to go with a thin bead, as some people don't use RTV at all.

I dont use any calk when doing the gasket. Never had a problem on 3 ls1 cars w/ 10 bolt.
RP comes with additive in it huh? I used to just get some other gear oil and buy the additive separate for the 98z I had.
