Default t-56 to 4l60e

I am going from a standard to automatic. I have a 4l60E and i want to put the trans-go 3 kit in it because I want a manual valve body. This the advise I've gotten anyway and my question is, will the transmission still be electronically controlled? And if so will I need some sort of PCM like a optishift? I dont think I do but the trans go kit seems like a PCM is necessary. After all the "E" in 4l60e stands for electronic.

Easiest way will be to swap out your pcm with one from an auto car of the same year. Of course this is if you are on a stock setup on the engine.

my car is a 99 z28 and im not sure what year the transmission is but i know its a 4l60e. I was hoping that going to a manual valve body would eliminate any electrical as my computer is for a standard and has no transmission info. If its not possible I guess my best bet is going to a th350 but I really wanted 4th gear.
