Power Steering failure

Power Steering failure Im not sure if I need to replace my pump or just the pully. For years now my car has no power steering at idle. If I raise the rpms the wheel becomes easier to turn. Driving down the road is fine, but at lower speeds and low roms I really have to muscle the wheel. Should I just replace the entire pump? If so, what all do I need?

I would replace the pump, sounds like the gears inside aren't moving freely. But then again it might be the pulley. I would get a new one from the local autoparts store, or get PSC to rebuild one or get a TurnOne. either way I highly recommend the TurnOne power steering pulley since you have access to the bolts with that pulley on.

I wanted to keep the stock pressure/setup because I do a lot of city driving. TurnOne did a stock rebuild on my pump and put on their pulley. Works like a charm.
BTW - The TurnOne pulley has to be installed by them. (It attached differently and is keyed to the shaft instead of just a friction fit.)
