Default My day! (new car)

Well technically it started 5/28/11. Some of you dont know, but after 5 years of ownership i sold the trans am. I loved that car and still do, but we fell out of romance. I listed it for 11k and sw07gt threw me a offer. We made a deal, he flew down, took ownership, and drove her home.

My last pics of her

Scott taking her away

bye car!

So the hunt started. Originally for a C6 Z06. 06's were in my price range, looked at a few and realized that banks wont finance a long loan term on a 5 year old car. Then i shifted my focus to a brand new camaro but after the test drive, i hated it. (sorry 5th gen owners). As much as i didnt want to admit it, i really liked the new 5.0 mustang. Well i ended up with something close. Traded 08 f250 (going to daily the nissan frontier), put the ta money down, and walked away with a payment that's $10 more a month than the truck.

Used (9k mile) 2010. Completely stock (for now) & and very happy with it. 540hp and still got 23mpg!

With that kind of hp i took it to the only place where it would fit in! I didnt run it, as it just rained. But we (my wife and i) met up with my friend Carmine, and hung out a bit. It was Porsche day, if you were wondering
Carmine's car

(puts flame suit on) Im still a chevy guy at heart, but ford really did something right with this car. Its pretty awesome
I need to PM Erik and see if i can bring it by Lashway and get a baseline dyno number

but I guess if you're happy with it

Loving the new car man, big fan of the new Mustangs. Just need a Kenne Bell or a Whipple now. I should have my wheels on this weekend and I ordered a nitrous kit yesterday. I'll send you some pictures and dyno numbers when I get it all wrapped up.

500 at the crank does not equal 500 at the wheels. Assuming 15% loss it should make ~425 and I believe Top Gears actually made ~440 anyways. Not to mention that this model actually has 540 hp.

Sweet car man! Those things are stout for sure! You can easily crank up the boost without worrying about your bottom end.. 700rwhp without an issue!

Dude- awesome! We would love to throw her on the rollers. We've been wanting to enter the ford market a bit more anyway and this might be the ticket!
Give me a shout Monday.

I love it man. The ride is very comfortable, you dont feel every little pebble in the road (like the z). The power delivery is smooth. The only thing i dont care for is the stock shifter, but that can be changed. Its night and day difference between my old trans am and this car. I would feel comfortable driving this car on a 2000 mile trip. Lots of low end torque. Its more of a touring car than a sports car, like the Z.

Beautiful car. Definately go to lashway. Some headers, a pulley, exhaust and tune and that car would be even sicker
