Default What motor oil are you using?

Hi Guys

what oil or what oil weight (specs) is recomended on a street/drag motor built for nitrous whith ring gap .026 top ring .028" 2nd

its LS2 404ci 11.4 in CP

What are you using

Shell Rotella 10-40 with a half bottle of Lucas oil additive here.

I have big ring gaps on my 416 l92.Top ring gap is .026 or .028 can't remember. I have run rotella 15-40 but i like the 20-50 vr1 oil I am using now. But I also have extra oil clearence on rods and main bearings.

Castrol 10w 40 change it every other time to the track or if I run it real hard I change it before the next time I go. I also use a wix filter which I would Highly recommend, Did this on my old 370 ran it for 2 years and my engine builder said the motor looked new on the inside with very little wear.

10-30 dinosaur remains from Advance Auto's private label.... It doesn't matter who makes it... Just keep it change... Rotella T is actually really good though... BTW, this really shouldn't be here.
