Re: cam opinion please
The average HP gain of a good cam by its self seems to be around 25 hp. You really should educate yourself on cams and pick out a cam with the specs you want before you buy one. There is a lot of important differences between the different ones available.

Re: cam opinion please
no no no......do not buy a cam that they won't give you the specks on. Thats what turned me off of the LG motorsports G5 cam (whatever it is). I wanted to compair that one, the TR 224/224, and the Hammer Cam but LG said their product was "perprietery and would not give out the specs" so they got scratched off the list (don't think I'm bashing LG....I have a number of things from them.....just not a cam).
The install is a really good price (I think...). Most places I have seen want close to $1000 .
See what number spring that is (941, 918, etc....). The 941s have had a lot of negative stories about them and people no longer seem to use them.
With an auto, most people stick with a 114 LSA cam. You still have stock heads and shorty headers so perhaps look at something with a little more exhaust durration...say...218/224..to clear the cylinders a little more (anyone else agree or disagree on that ).

Re: cam opinion please
yea, i would not buy a cam without specs, i agree,,, but they said they had all specs availble,, he said he would determine my exact spec after he drove it and looked at it closly,,, he did say i need a 114 since i have an auto
i am looking for something with a good idle and sense of lots of power
so i will expect about 25 min of hp?

Just looking at other people's dyno charts, you can see that it varies with a lot of factors including which cam you get and the other parts you are combining it with.

Re: cam opinion please
any other opinions on what cam i should get
with alittle more exhaust durration becuase i have hooker shorties, and it is alittle better than stock, just not much
and a good idle, i love the loopness of the idle of a cam but not too rough
and a good pitch of the idle, looping again
thanks for your reply
