Default Who makes the best bottle heater???

I am looking at buying a bottle heater. I would like to try and buy a good one while I'm at it.

Just wondering in your opinion what the best is.

Thanks,
Roman

A guy on ebay sells pressure controlled heaters for around $100 That's where I got mine. It heats to 1100 and cuts off. Just turn it off five min or so before racing and you're ready to go.

crap the nos one you can leave on forever while your racing and it will not jack up the bottle temps too high. i'd leave it on while rocking out on the freeway hunting folks and the pressure really never got over 1000. of course i did turn it off when the bottle was closed. imagine a pressure sensitive one and a closed bottle, hmmm.

heh this was on the vw. So it was still challenging. hell i just loved to squeeze a 50 on the vw and zoom in around traffic. poor vw went from 150wft/lbs@2800rpm to 306wft/lbs in 2600lb chassis, so it was a kick.

really after getting a wreckless and realizing that nitrous isn't friendly on the streets. and see'ing alot of fbod folks (in atlanta) crack cylinder walls, im not about to try it again.

too many stories of jail or busted blocks, screw that..

There is a good article at dragstuff.com that takes an independant view on bottle heaters. It shows how fast they are and has some other good info.

pressure switches are better than temperature, after all you are heating it to obtain a specific pressure, not temperature. Dynotune.org has a pressure switch that is accurate to 50 psi I believe and is adjustable.

my vote NOS with 95 degree. Temp is better because when my bottle will only reach about 800/850 psi, I know there is only about 3lb's left and time to refill. Pressure setup will heat bottle upto what ever temp it takes to get pressure, even when low on n2o, you have to weigh it to know for sure what's left.

I have a NOS bottle heater, but might convert to the NX style pressure type heater.

Dynotune says they have a kit to convert from temp to pressure.

"Upgrade kit To Full Automatic Heating (107)

Will Dynotune's kit convert my NOS pressure type or just Dynotune's brand?

Or is it more trouble than it's worth? I will go to the track only 4 or 5 times a year (use the heater).

I have the NOS heating element and the Dynotune pressure switch. The fully auto conversion from Dynotune will work with any heating element.

A blow torch makes the best heater! Purposely designed bottle heaters take to long to get the bottle pressure up. Bottle heaters are good just to maintain pressure.
