Ok guys, so being a new vert owner im wondering what kind of disadvantage i am truly at on the street. Lets consider my car, an 03 cobra. The coupes weigh in at 3665 lbs, while the verts are an even porkier 3780. So lets say two cobras, one being a coupe and one being a vert, decide to line it up on the street, and do like a 40-140 run. Considering both cars have very similar setups (ie same size upper pulleys, exhaust, intake, sfc's, same tire setup, etc.) and equal drivers how much of a disadvantage does the extra weight and aerodynamics of the vert (with top up) have? Are we talking 1 car? 2 cars? 3 cars? Is it more of a drivers race or an easy win for the coupe?

Probably mainly a drivers race. Weight might add up to one car length for such a long run. 115 lbs isn't THAT much.

id say a car or so based on the weight and aerodynamic difference in the vert and coupe.

I'd say maybe 1/2 a car difference with all other equals.

Very might do a little better out of the hole even because more weight over the tires and i bet the coupe will come on a little harder at the end, i would not expect it to get bulled very hard though.
